More than a New Building: Sharing Christ, Securing Our Future
Our Goal
Pardon our dust! You may have noticed construction on the corner of NW 34th Street and NW 16th Avenue. Zion is building a new worship sanctuary to serve our growing congregation and community. This vibrant space will host worship, Bible studies, fellowship, our popular Smart Start children's' program, and our campus ministry at the University of Florida. The new facility will enhance our mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with more people.
As part of our capital campaign, our congregation has set a goal of raising $300,000 in building fund donations during the construction of our new sanctuary. By God’s blessing, as of Fall 2025 we have raised about one-third of that amount—enough to secure our loan and make a down payment.
Highlights
- Work is already ahead of schedule—the pad has been poured, and the walls are going up! We expect to complete construction in the summer of 2026.
- Stop by during the week for a tour with our site supervisor, Russell.
- Show love to our masonry crew (J.A.M. Construction) by dropping off snacks or electrolyte drinks during these hot Gainesville work weeks.
