What Is Sprouts?
Sprouts is a parent-and-child early learning program designed for children from birth through preschool. Through hands-on play, sensory activities, and meaningful connection, families grow together while building friendships and supporting early childhood development.
What We Do
Each Sprouts session is designed to create a fun, engaging environment where children and caregivers learn and grow together.
Sensory & Creative Play
Children explore hands-on activities designed to stimulate curiosity and support early brain development through touch, movement, and imagination.
Early Learning Experiences
Stations include crafts, motor skill activities, language experiences, and guided play that help build foundational developmental skills.
Social Interaction
Sprouts creates opportunities for children to interact with peers while parents connect with other families in the community.

Meet Our Sprouts Ministry Leader
Cathie Dearing is passionate about supporting young children and the families who care for them. As a licensed early childhood educator and preschool director, Cathie brings years of experience creating environments where children can explore, learn, and grow through play and meaningful interaction. She loves helping families connect with one another while giving children opportunities to build confidence, curiosity, and joy in learning.

Sprouts will launch August 5–6, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gainesville. Sessions are planned for the 1st and 3rd weekdays from 10:00–11:00 AM.
